Springs Gymnastics is located in beautiful Tucson, Arizona.  We offer gymnastics, cheer, and dance training for kids of all skill levels.
Our mission is to provide kids of all ages with a positive atmosphere that fosters strength of character, determination, self-confidence, and a love for the sport. 

 We are located just off Old Vail Road, between Houghton and Rita Road turn North on to Distribution Way.

Megan Johnson Earns Gold at 2009 Regionals!

The Level 8 team all qualified to Regionals and traveled to Sacramento, California to compete in the 2009 Regional Gymnastics Meet against the top state qualifiers from Arizona, Utah, Nevada, Northern California and Southern California.  They had a great time and enjoyed the warm, sunny weather.  Megan Johnson led the way with a 1st place gold medal on bars with a 9.55!  She also medaled on beam (9.2), floor (9.225) and all around with a 36.425.  Rebecca Johnson medaled on vault (9.325), bars (9.325) and floor (9.175) and earned a 36.325 all around.  She almost made it all year without a fall on beam at a meet!  Riley earned a 9.125 on vault and a 9.0 on floor.

Optionals Medal at the Arizona State Meet

The optionals competed well at the 2009 Arizona State Meet.  Rebecca Johnson is a Level 8 State Champion.  She earned 1st place on vault (9.2), 3rd on bars (9.475), 3rd on beam (9.375), and 3rd on floor (9.25) with a 1st place all around of 37.3.  Great job Rebecca!  Riley Shott earned 2nd place on vault with a 9.1.  Megan Johnson earned 4th on bars, 4th on beam and 4th place all around.   All the Level 8 team members made it to Regionals and will travel to Sacramento, CA to compete.  Good luck girls! We are proud of you and your accomplishments.

The level 7's were well represented and earned some career and season high scores.  Katie Montano earned all 9's with a 9.275 on bars and a 9.225 on beam and a 36.625 all around.  Brooke earned a 9.075 on vault and a 9.4 on floor with a 36.025 all around.  Katie and Brooke joined the 36 club!  Brittney earned a 9.2 on beam and a 9.175 on floor.  Kerissa Eslick earned a 9.1 on floor.

Jessica Kleya Memorial is a big success!

Jessica Kleya was a big success. Many gymnasts’ earned career and season high scores! The compulsory gymnasts’ ended the season on a high note and the Optional gymnasts’ are looking forward to State! Good luck girls and congratulations on a great season.
The Level 4 Team started of the weekend. Melanie Grudinschi led the way with 2nd place on vault (9.05), 2nd place on bars (9.050), 3rd place on beam and 3rd, 3rd on floor (9.225) and 3rd place all around (35.835). Kelsey Morgan earned a 9.1 on vault (3rd place), and 3rd on bars. Angela Dardini earned a 9.0 on vault (3rd place). 
The Level  5 Team worked hard and earned 2nd Place Team. Thalia Gilder led the way with a 9.0 on vault (2nd place), 1st place on bars (9.0), 1st on beam (9.075), 3rd on floor and 1st all around (35.875).   Ashley Payne had a great meet with 1st on vault, 2nd on floor and 2nd place all around.   Ahrissa Mendenhall earned 2nd place on bars with a 9.0 and 3rd all around. Gabrielle Richardson earned 3rd on bars and Victoria Jimerson earned 1st place on vault with a 9.225. 
Paige Christian represented the Level 6 Team with 1st place on beam (9.15), 3rd place on floor and 3rd place all around. 
For the Level 7 Team,  Morgan Hoose led the way with a 9.0 on vault, a 9.0 on floor and a 35.675. Katie Montano earned 1st place on bars (9.325), 3rd place on beam, 3rd place on floor and 3rd place all around.   Kerissa Eslick earned 3rd place on bars, 3rd on beam, 3rd on floor and 3rd place all around.  Brooke Zwierlein earned a 9.175 on floor and Brittney Zwierlein earned a 9.0 on floor. 
The Level 8 Team represented Springs well with some career and season high scores on many events. Rebecca Johnson earned a 9.325 on bars, a 9.45 on beam, a 9.525 for 1st place on floor and a 37.2 for 3rd place all around.   Riley Shott earned a 9.05 on vault, 9.175 on bars, a 9.475 on beam for 2nd place, a 9.5 on floor (2nd place) and a 37.2 all around. Megan Johnson earned a 9.475 on beam (2nd place), a 9.475 (2nd place) on bars, a 9.2 on floor and a 36.575 all around. Great job girls and good luck at State!

SCI are State Champions!

SCI competed in the Arizona State Cheer and Dance Championships and won 1st and 2nd place!  
        Senior COED Cheer Level 4 won 1st place.
        Senior Open Cheer Level 3 won 1st place.
        Mini Cheer Level 1 won 2nd place.
        Mini Hip Hop won 2nd place.

Congratulations SCI on a great season and good luck at Nationals!

Lotsa′ Gold Medals at Flying High

All the competitive gymnastics team traveled to Mesa for the Flying High 2009 Gymnastics Invitational.  There were many gold, silver and bronze medals and several 1st all around placements!

The Level 4's started off by earning 2nd place team! Samantha Dardini and Melanie Grudinschi taking 1st place all around!   Great job girls. Jovanna Enriquez took 2nd place all around. Kelsey Morgan and Hannah Kunstman took 3rd all around. Here are the highlights:
                Kelsey Morgan: 9.025 (3rd) on vault, 9.1 (2nd) on Bars, 3rd on floor 
                                 and a 35.975 (3rd) all around
                Melanie Grudinshi: 2nd on bars, 9.175 (1st) on beam, 9.15 (1st
                                 on floor, and 35.55 for 1st all around
                Jovanna Enriquez: 3rd on vault, 1st on bars, 2nd on beam, 2nd on
                                  floor (9.025) and 2nd all around (35.3)
                Regina Gulli: 34.75 all around

The Level 5’s were next with Marcy Aultman earning 3rd all around and Thalia earning 4th all around.   The highlights are:
                Thalia Gilder earning 3rd on vault, a 9.1 on beam, 3rd on floor and
                                              4th all around (34.7)
                Angela Aultman: 9.25 on beam and a 34.125 all around
                Marcy Aultman: 3rd on bars, 1st on beam (9.125) and 3rd all around
                Ashley Payne: 1st on vault, 3rd on floor

SCI takes 1st Place at Valley of the Sun Nationals!

Youth Cheer Level 2 took 2nd place

SCEGA 2009 California Classic

Some of the Optional gymnastics team went to sunny California this weekend to compete in the 2009 SCEGA California Classic.  After enjoying the beach and some of the San Diego sites, they competed very well against many teams from all over the country (400+ gymnasts competed over the weekend!).  They brought home many medals and represented Springs and Arizona very well.   

The Level 8 Team led the way with Rebecca earning 1st place on vault, with a 9.1; 2nd place on bars with a 9.35, 4th on beam with a 9.25,  1st place on floor with a 9.55; and 1st place all around with a 37.25!  Riley  earned 3rd place on vault with a 9.025, 1st place on beam with a 9.525, 3rd on floor with a 9.2, and a 3rd place all around finish with 36.375.  Great job girls!

Katie and Kerissa traveled to the meet to represent the Level 7 Team and did very well.  Katie earned 3rd on bars with a 9.175, 5th on beam, a 9.0 on floor and earned 5th all around.  Kerissa had a great floor routine earning a 9.325 for 4th place on floor and 3rd place on bars.  Good job girls.

Optionals Rock at the Hard Rock Invitational

The Optional gymnasts' had a great time at the Hard Rock Invitational at the Cardinals' stadium.  With over 1500 gymnasts and 75 gyms from over 30 states, it was a tough competition.  Thanks to Arizona Sunrays for putting on a great meet!

The Level 8 team led the way with a 4th place team finish against some tough teams and only 3 team members.  Rebecca earned a 9.25 on vault, 9.325 on bars, and a 9.45 on floor, with a 36.975 all around placing 6th all around.  Megan earned a 9.3 on bars (3rd place), a 9.15 on beam, a 9.2 on floor and a 36.05 all around for a 5th place finish.  Riley earned a 9.375 on floor for a 4th place finish.  Way to go girls!

The Level 7 team had an early morning start and braved the colder temperatures.  Congratulations to Brooke for earning a 9.2 on floor, Kerissa a 9.1 on floor and Morgan a 9.0 on floor.

35th Annual 2009 Fiesta Bowl Invitational

35th Annual 2009 FIESTA BOWL INVITATIONAL

The team traveled to Chandler to compete in the 35th Annual 2009 Fiesta Bowl Invitational and earned many medals.   They enjoyed the Old West Theme of Rawhide and competed very well.

The Level 8 team led the way with the entire team earning 36’s and each scoring in the 9’s on 3 of the 4 individual events.  Rebecca earned a 9.35 on Bars, a 9.3 on floor, a 9.15 and 4th on beam, with a 36.75 all around.  Riley had a 9.6 on floor for 2nd place, a 9.05 on vault, a 9.075 on bars and a 36.275 all around.  Megan earned a 9.475 on bars, a 9.25 on beam, a 9.25 on floor and received a 36.175 all around. Way to go Level 8!  Your hard work has paid off.

The Level 7 team was next with a 4th place team finish.  Brooke led the way with a 9.0 on beam and a 9.475 on floor for 1st place!   Morgan earned a 9.225 on vault and a 9.05 on beam for a 3rd place finish.  Alyssa earned a 9.5 on vault for 2nd place, a 9.15 on Beam for 1st place and a 9.3 on floor.  Kerissa earned a 9.175 on floor and Katie earned a 9.275 for 2nd place on bars.  Great job girls!  Keep up the good work.

The Level 4 team earned many medals and had some great performances.  Kelsey led the way with a 9.3 on vault receiving 1st place,  a 9.075 for 3rd place on bars, 3rd place on beam and 2nd place all-around with a 35.95.  Melanie earned a 9.0 for 3rd place on bars, a 9.225 for 1st place on beam and 2nd all around with a 35.675.  Cheyenne earned a 9.05 on vault, and a 9.325 for 3rd place on bars.  Angela D. earned a 9.0 on vault, and a 9.25 for 3rd place on bars. Samantha earned a 9.15 for 2nd place on vault. Great job girls!  You did great.

Marcy earned 3rd place on beam for Level 5.

The Optionals′ earn many medals at Mardi Gras 2009!

The Optional Gymnasts' had a great first meet of the season, Mardi Gras Challenge 2009 at Chandler High School.  

For Level 8, Rebecca Johnson earned 1st place all around with a 36.55 and Riley Shott earned 3rd place all around with a 36.325. Rebecca was 2nd on Bars with a 9.275, 2nd on beam with a 9.325, and 2nd on floor with a 9.15.  Riley was 1st on Vault with a 9.0, 3rd on bars, 2nd on beam with a 9.325, and 2nd on floor with a 9.15.  The level 8's also earned 2nd place team. 

The Level 7's hard work paid off with many medals for their first season.  Morgan Hoose led the way with 2nd place on Beam with a 9.275, and a 9.1 on floor.  Alyssa Schuster earned 3rd place on vault with a 9.4 and did well on floor with a 9.1. Brook Zwierlein earned a 9.075 on beam and a 9.175 on floor.  Hannar Arth earned a 9.05 on floor and earned 4th on bars.  Katie Montano earned a 9.3 on bars and did well on floor with a 9.0.  The Level 7 team earned a 4th place trophy.

SCI Takes 1st Places at USA Regionals

SCI traveled to Phoenix for the USA Regional Competition and did great! The Senior COED Level 4 Team took 1st place and the Senior Open Level 3 Team also took 1st place. Way to go SCI! The Youth Level 2 team took 2nd  place and the Mini Level 1 Team took 5th place.

We are proud of the hard work and dedication of every Level 4 team member in their first year of competing.  They have had a great competition season. Ashley earned a 9.15 on bars, a 9.15 on vault and a 35.575 all-around. Cheyenne scored a 9.125 on vault, Angela D. a 9.125 on vault, Kelsey a 9.0 on vault, and Melanie a 9.125 on vault. These girls’ sure can vault!

Stars & Stripes Meet

Great success by Level 4, 5 & 6 teams at the Stars & Stripes meet. Level  4 team: Ashley led the way with a 9.45 on vault, 9.125 on beam, 9.4 on floor and a 36.85 all-around. Cheyenne had a great meet with a 9.4 on vault, 9.1 on beam and a 35.5 all-around. Madison earned a 9.175 on vault, Angela D. a 9.1 on vault, Kelsey a 9.35 on vault, and Melanie a 9.05 on floor. Level 5 team: Mari led the way and earned a 9.25 on beam and a 35.55 all-around. Angela A. earned a 9.05 on beam. Level 6 team: Morgan scored a 9.15 on vault. Good job girls!

Gymnasts′ earn many Gold Medals at Gold Medal Extravaganza

Springs compulsory teams traveled to Phoenix for the Gold Medal Extravaganza and earned many 1st places! The Level 5 team took 3rd place and the Level 4 team took 4th place.   Mari Peters led the way with a 36.475 all-around (1st place) and 9.125 on bars, 9.1 on vault, 9.025 on beam and a 9.225 on floor. Great job Mari! Cheyenne got a 9.15 on vault and a 9 on beam with a 1st place on vault, beam, floor and all-around!  Melanie earned a 9 on beam (1st place) and 1st place on bars, beam and all-around! Angela Aultman earned 3rd place on vault, bars, floor and all-around. Ahrissa earned 3rd place on beam, Genna earned 2nd place on bars, floor, all-around and 3rd place on vault. Julia earned 3rd place on beam and Victoria got 3rd place on vault. Great job girls!

Tumbleweeds Halloween Invitational was a great success and Springs’ did great. For the Level 4’s, Ashley led the way with a 9.7 on vault, a 9.2 on floor and a 35.15 all-around. Madison earned a 9 on vault, Cheyenne a 9.125 on beam, Angela a 9.025 on vault, and Kelsey a 9.25 on vault and Melanie a 9.2 on floor.  The Level 4 team took 3rd place.  Way to go first year Level 4’s.

Morgan′s Penguin Invitational

Morgan's Penguin Invitational was a great success and we really appreciate everyone's help and support!  Morgan was a beautiful gymnast, a wonderful friend, and was loved by all that knew her.  She is missed by everyone!   We are proud of all our teams and their success.  The Level 4's led the way with Ashley getting a 9.325 on vault, 9.275 on floor and a 35.65 in all-around.  Madison got a 9.35 on vault, Cheyenne a 9.4 on vault, Angela a 9 on vault, and Kelsey with a 9.5 on vault.
